Writing From Roseau

In My Land
by Skyllar Schoening

In my land

Love is abundant and war is extinguished, removed

From the English dictionary.

In my land

Gender is a construct, tear it apart!

People aren’t judged by their color or ethnicity.

In my land

Governments aren’t corrupt and people  can move,

their own choice, not having to be forced.

In my land

Everyone is welcome with open hands

And right-out-of-the-oven chocolate chip cookies.

In my land

I dream small thoughts

And I dream BIG thoughts too.

In my land

I dream.
