Four & Five

It’s October! And I’m back at Grace Neighborhood Nursery School writing poems with the four and five year-olds.  Today’s poems by Isaac, Waylon, and Junie, from Claire’s afternoon class.     Artwork by Waylon.

This Is Mail

By Waylon

This is mail.

This is a poem.

This is for father’s day.

This is for grandpa, dad’s dad.

It’s a leaf tree.

Its about Fall,

When leaves

Come off

The tree and

Change colors.

Sometimes I see white leaves

In my imagination.

Butterfly

By Junie

Sparkly butterfly

Goes to flowers

Slurps up

The nectar

From flower

To flower.
